PRAYER REQUESTS

One thing that echoes in our hearts and minds is that prayer is the work of this missionary journey; we can do nothing apart from Jesus! We would love for you to join us each week in praying over the work of ministry, our family, and life in Manchester.

Monday: Revival in Manchester- would you be bold with us and other believers in the city to ask for 1 million people to follow Christ in Manchester?

Tuesday: Pray for boldness and spiritual conversations where we can share the gospel! Pray for connections and in roads to relationships in our community. Pray for creativity in reaching the every and all in our city.

Wednesday: Pray for lightheartedness and joy together as a family. Pray for salvation for Riley and Eleanor. Isaiah 50:4

Thursday- Pray as we prepare to host teams. Team will start coming this month and will continue throughout the summer! Pray for logistics, hearts to be prepared (both in Manchester and on teams), and ministry opportunities

Friday - Pray for Kris as he continues to lead Alpha each Sunday night in February. Pray for many people to come and find truth!

Stories from the Field

Stories from the Field

I have been struck this month by the boldness of my children.

They want deep relationships and they want connections with their friends from school. Two specific occasions come to mind where the boldness of my daughters has given us a path into relationships.

I have a tendency to wait for the "right" moment- to make sure everything falls in place before giving a gift, to wait for a more proper time to get a phone number, to have everything in place before the dinner invite, to check the calendar for the most convenient night, ect. And often times, if I'm honest I can reason myself out of a moment of boldness and obedience.

They are persistent and BOLD in their of wanting the playdates, the after church hangouts, the dinner invitation, the exchanging of mom's phone numbers, the urgency of a gift exchange- many of which in my mind come at unhelpful times or in the middle of a rush. What the Lord has been teaching me this month is to follow their bold example- to be quicker to engage and invite and pursue life together.

I am thankful for their persistence and the opportunities their school relationships have allowed us to connect with families here in Manchester. Their childlike faith and movement into relationships has been a breath of fresh air this month.

What does boldness look like in your life this month? Maybe its inviting the new family on your street over for dinner and seeing if they have a church home, it could be getting coffee with a young husband or dad, maybe its sharing a quick testimony of the goodness of God with your waitress who looks like she's had a hard day, or instead of playing on a phone while at the park- strike up a conversation with the person swinging their kid next to you.

The Lord has good works prepared in advance for us to walk in- would you join me this month to pray for boldness and eyes to see opportunities to walk in that?

Welcome Teddy! 🐾

For Christmas, the girls were surprised with a new family member. Teddy is an English cocker spaniel and is so full of life. He is 4 months old now and is always ready either to snuggle or to playfully attack. We are still in the puppy stage with him, and we ask that you pray for Kris to have patience in training and teaching our young pup, and for strength each morning when Kris gets up to work with him.

We have already seen how Teddy is a ministry-partner pup. Many British neighbors have dogs and are eager to chat more when you also have a dog. We are excited to have him right alongside us as we live in Manchester.

Thank you for partnering along with us in prayer as we are sharing the gospel, making disciples, and helping plant churches. If you'd like to financially support us, 100% of gifts to our ministry account help cover ministry activities, travel, and local outreach as we serve in Manchester. Thank you for being part of what God is doing here!
