Good Goodbyes
The Month of May has been incredibly full!
We were able to celebrate Aubree’s birthday, Riley’s birthday, and Mother’s Day with our FPO family. The group really worked hard to make those days sweet and special. From our quad-mates staying up late and decorating to the children of FPO singing happy birthday at the play ground each of the days became sweet memories of our time in Virginia.
We watched as the Lord moved in the lives of friends praying over visas, travel logistics, and housing on the field.
We listened as men, women, and children shared their heart in worship and zeal. The Lord used Mady as she shared her favorite verse, Zephaniah 3:17 with the group and recounted how the Lord had used that verse to comfort her in the midst of our move to the UK.
We watched our girls thrive. They made many new friends and are excited to start their new lives as TCK’s (third culture kids).
We finished training and were commissioned to the field with 45 of our best friends! We left Virginia with the call of Revelation 7:9 and the vision of the IMB heavy on our heart: to see a multitude of people from every nation, tribe, people, and language knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our final week has been packing, packing, and more packing! Saying a whole lot of see you laters to those near and dear!
As this news letter hits your inboxes, our feet will have left the United States to hit the soil of the United Kingdom.
Our prayer as we head to the field is that the word of the Lord would speed ahead and be honored in the city of Manchester. That we would be fully dependent on the Spirit to guide our steps each day. The upcoming month has the logistics of finding phone plans, a British bank, a rental property, and navigating day to day life in a new country five hours ahead of EST.
We look forward to see what the Lord has in store in the Month of June!
